A-PLUS Service Experts in Waldorf always talks about how our service techs are NATE-certified, and while it sounds comforting, what does it really mean?
NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence and, according to their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all people in the industry are required to be NATE-certified. The certification is optional and technicians can provide heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration services without being certified by NATE.
It’s important to A-PLUS Service Experts that our technicians are NATE-certified to make sure we are sending the most qualified and professional technicians into your home. To make sure experts meet these criteria, the NATE-certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for technicians. The exams are knowledge-based exams that assess the technician’s knowledge of these criteria.
Since A-PLUS Service Experts focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification (not refrigeration), there are only particular areas applicable to our technicians. NATE test candidates may earn installation and/or service certification in one or more of the talent areas listed below:
